About you
We build technology that changes how digital finance works. Join us and choose the area you want to grow in:
Option 1: OTC platform (over-the-counter).
Our OTC platform enables users to buy and sell cryptocurrencies for cash easily and securely. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will have a real impact on shaping a product that directly influences the customer experience in physical points of sale.
Option 2: Exchange.
This is our online Exchange area, where the entire user journey happens digitally and the key priorities are performance, scalability, and reliability. In this role, you will develop modern technology solutions and take ownership of their quality, stability, and continuous improvement. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for seamless trading, giving users worldwide access to digital assets 24/7.

Requirements
We’d love to hear that you:
  • enjoy what you do,
  • are a developer with at least 7 years of experience in Java or Kotlin, and you know how to build solutions that truly work - stable and efficient,
  • treat system design, feature delivery, and maintaining solutions in production as your standard,
  • familiar with Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes,
  • know PostgreSQL or MongoDB, and you know how to build IaC using Terraform,
  • like sharing knowledge, and mentoring is a natural part of teamwork for you,
  • in a remote-work setup, you can work both independently and collaboratively, while keeping communication clear,
  • know and like the Polish language and respect its rules,
  • use English fluently at minimum B2 level.
Nice to have:
  • you support junior team members as a mentor,
  • you have domain knowledge in cryptocurrencies and blockchain,
  • you have experience with Redis, React, or React Native,
  • you feel comfortable working in a Unix/Linux environment.

Responsibilities
The project you will work on is not only a set of payment tools. It’s also a team of people who believe in the development of finance and technological innovation. Your responsibilities will include the technological development of Kanga project products.
Your day-to-day:
  • daily, planning, refinement, code review - everything you already know,
  • close collaboration with product and business teams,
  • analysis, design, and implementation of new backend solutions,
  • code quality ownership and keeping systems stable in production,
  • designing and developing cloud infrastructure (GCP),
  • sharing knowledge and maintaining positive, effective communication,
  • contributing to the IT department culture.

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, Terraform,
  • React, React Native, Docker, GitLab.
We offer
  • First three months (probation period) you will spend the first three months getting to know the team and the project. Strengthen your knowledge of the crypto market, support the team with what you do best, define what you can realistically deliver, and see if you enjoy it.
  • If both sides are happy and it turns out you feel in the project like a kangaroo in Australia, we’ll agree on further cooperation terms and your growth direction. The sky is the limit!
  • To start, we propose a B2B contract: PLN 18,000–27,000 net (depending on experience* and domain knowledge) plus work equipment. After the probation period, we will decide on further cooperation terms based on a joint analysis of tasks, growth direction, and the skills gained.
  • You will have equipment waiting for you in the office, and after the probation period you will receive a MacBook and the full benefits package which we’ll cover during the meeting.
  • The organization behind the project is not a corporation, but it’s not a classic start-up either. You’ll work in an environment where both processes and exceptions matter. It’s a hybrid of a flat structure with room for exceptions, ideas, and individual internal processes across different departments.

Engit LLC. is a Polish company based in Gdańsk, operating in computer systems design and related services. The company provides services for the Kanga project - a fast-growing ecosystem of FinTech tools and services. It focuses on education, human connection, and making crypto adoption easier in everyday life. At its core is the cryptocurrency exchange launched in September 2018. Since then, the project has continuously expanded. The delivered services now include tools such as a crypto wallet (Kanga Wallet), crypto exchanges in physical locations (Kanga Kantor), an IEO platform (Kanga Starter), and more. The team is constantly working on new features and actively shares updates in social media (X, Telegram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok).
