Kanga Exchange Rolls Out Major Security Upgrade: What You Need to Know

As crypto adoption increases, so do the threats that come with it. Phishing emails, account takeovers, and malicious withdrawals remain among the most common and costly.

At Kanga Exchange, your crypto should be just as secure as your intent to hold it. That is why we have released a powerful trio of security upgrades to protect our users from cyberattacks. These features are now live. However, they haven’t been publicly announced until now.

This post will explain what’s new, why it matters, and why it makes Kanga a security-first exchange.

A Quick Overview of Kanga Exchange

Before exploring the new tools, it is worth highlighting what makes Kanga one of the most active and versatile exchanges:

  • Over 200,000 OTC transactions executed by a growing global user base
  • More than 800 OTC points, providing real-world crypto accessibility
  • 200+ trading pairs across major tokens and altcoins
  • 100+ launchpad sales, making it one of the most active platforms for early-stage crypto projects

The New Features: Stronger Security at the Core

We have introduced three important security upgrades. Each one targets a different attack vector and provides an additional line of defense.

1. Anti-Phishing Code

Phishing remains one of the most common ways attackers breach crypto accounts. Often, fake emails that look almost identical to legitimate ones are used to lure users into clicking on malicious links or revealing login details.

The new Anti-Phishing Code feature is a simple but effective way to spot these attacks before they happen. When you set your unique anti-phishing code, it will be automatically embedded in every real email Kanga sends.

You will know it is fraudulent if you receive an email from “Kanga” that doesn’t contain your code. This puts you in control and reduces the risk of falling for spoofed emails that mimic Kanga Exchange communications.

2. Withdrawal Whitelist

The biggest nightmare for any crypto user is logging in to discover funds have been withdrawn to an unfamiliar address. Even with two-factor authentication, a compromised device or session hijack can sometimes be enough for attackers to steal funds.

That’s why we’ve added the Withdrawal Whitelist.

When enabled, this feature restricts withdrawals to only those addresses you have manually saved and verified in your personal address book. If a new address isn’t in your list, it simply won’t work. This adds a powerful layer of protection, even if your login credentials are ever compromised.

This provides peace of mind for high-value traders, OTC desks, and launchpad participants, as it ensures that crypto cannot be moved without prior approval.

3. New Address Lock

Even advanced attacks tend to follow a pattern. The attacker gets in, adds a new withdrawal address, and instantly transfers funds out.

The New Address Lock feature puts a timed buffer between intent and execution. Whenever a new withdrawal address is added, the system automatically initiates a hold period before any funds can be sent to that destination.

This pause gives you a window to react, through email alerts or push notifications, assuming the change wasn’t authorized. It is like adding a “cool-off period” to wallet operations.

How to Activate These Features

If you have used Kanga Exchange before, you will find these tools already available in your profile. To activate them:

  1. Log in to your account.
  1. Navigate to My Account and Security.
  1. Set your anti-phishing code, enable withdrawal whitelisting, and activate new address lock.

At Kanga, we don’t wait for a breach to start building better security. We proactively engineer safeguards that grow with the ecosystem and anticipate emerging vulnerabilities.

Final Thoughts: Don’t Wait for a Reminder

Security isn’t something you configure once. It is a practice. And now is the right time to revisit yours.

Whether you trade daily, hold long-term, or participate in token launches, these new features give you the tools to stay in control. They are fast to set up, easy to use, and already live.
