Important Security Update: Changes to EMT Balance Visibility and Transfer Sections

Dear Users,

To ensure the highest security standards for your funds and to align with best market practices, we have introduced important changes on our exchange regarding the visibility of EMT tokens and the execution of transfers. From now on, active Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is required to fully utilize these features.

What are EMTs (Electronic Money Tokens)? EMTs are digital assets designed to maintain a stable value by being directly pegged to an official fiat currency (e.g., EUR, USD). The introduced changes stem from the need to adapt our platform to the latest regulatory standards and heightened security requirements for this type of asset.

1. EMT Balance Visibility in the Main Wallet

To protect your data, we have implemented restrictions on displaying balances for EMT tokens:

  • Hidden balances without 2FA: If 2FA security is not enabled on your account, the balances of all EMT tokens in the main wallet view will be hidden. (Note: Balances of other cryptocurrencies will remain visible as usual).
  • Easy activation: In place of the hidden balances, you will see a notification with a direct link that will guide you step-by-step through a quick 2FA setup process.
  • Where to check your funds: Don’t worry, your tokens are completely safe! Even without 2FA enabled, your EMT balances will still be visible in other sections of the platform: Spot, Futures, QuickSwap, Staking, and Starter.

2. Changes to Transfer Section Access

We are reinforcing the protection around withdrawal and transfer processes:

  • New security requirement: All transfer sections that previously required Identity Verification (KYC) will now also require an active 2FA setup.

Why are we doing this? Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is currently the absolute standard in the cryptocurrency industry, drastically reducing the risk of unauthorized access to your funds. We strongly encourage you to activate it!
